In order to facilitate the students studying in Secondary and Higher secondary level and meet their educational demand, a commission on National Education comprising of experts from different fields of education was detailed in December 1958 to transfer Secondary Education from University to the BISE Peshawar to satisfy this level of education. To elevate the standard of education throughout the province, Peshawar Board was established in 1961. In the beginning, the educational institutions of the whole province and FATA were governed by BISEP. BISE Peshawar results indicate that BISE Peshawar is striving hard to promote education and other extra curricular activities in the schools and colleges come under its jurisdiction. BISEP results of different classes are prepared very transparently and judiciously and declared in two or three months of the occurrence of the examination.
