Under the provision of North West Frontier Province Board of Technical Education ACT 1972, NWFP Board of Technical Education was set up in March 1973 which was renamed as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Technical Education (KPBTE). KP Technical Board has the mandate to organize, regulate and supervise technical, commercial and vocational education up to diploma level. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Board is performing academic and examining duties for polytechnic, commercial, vocational and other private technical institutions. Peshawar technical Board indicates remarkable advancement in the whole province to enhance technical education. Technical Board Peshawar has awarded certificates and diplomas along with scholarships, medals and prizes under the provision of Regulations and Rules to its students.
