Azad Jammu & Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpur (BISEAJK) were established in 1973 in accordance with an Ordinance promulgated by the Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir. BISE Azad Jammu & Kashmir conducted its first matriculation exams in1974.
